Hey all. I'm Qwertimus, currently a level 18 Mekkel Priest. Bless you my children!

Funny thing about my name... Many, many light years ago I used the nickname Qwerty for a bit, as at the time I was too lazy and unimaginative to come up with something better. My son recently came up with Qwertimus, so I pinched it from him for CQ. My usual name is Tron or Ozron (as on TA), which didn't really fit in with the theme here. So thanks to Joshua for the inspiration. :)

Not sure if they are many other Aussies on CQ yet, but I currently live in Melbourne, Victoria. Originally from Adelaide, and also worked in Sydney for several years, so have moved around a bit. Had a great job in Sydney right on Circular Quay. Was able to go for walks in my lunch break over the Sydney Harbour Bridge or around the Sydney Opera House and through the Domain etc. Was there while they filmed the Matrix sequels, and saw quite a bit of the filming and Keanu. Pretty cool.

I'm something of a grumpy old fart, according to my son anyway, but on good days I'm normally happy to pitch in and help out. Will be offering my writing skills to Nils to come up with some new quests etc. While I'm new to RPG's, never having played one before, I used to play lots of adventure type games like the Space Quests, Monkey Islands etc. Wish there were some decent ones on the app store.

Anyway back to CQ, I've been sneaking down the road (short distance from work) to the local McDonalds in my breaks and lunch on work days to use their free wi-fi. So yeah, I'm totally addicted. Love what Nils has done already in such a short time, and what he's got lined up. Awesome. Woot!

Gotta go now, I have a break coming up and I need to sneak out for a quick fix! Damn, CQ is better than drugs!

Nice introduction there Qwert. ^ ^

I had a friend in Melbourne, almost moved down there a few years ago after high school. Ended up sticking around in the states though. Interesting choice for a first RPG, but a good one non-the-less. I hope it opens the door for you into others, if you can ever pull yourself away from this one. Signs of a true addict - going to McDonald's just for the Wi-Fi. Wouldn't catch me within 50 feet of one of those restaurants. ^ ^

Hey Welcome! I used to have several friends in Australia but lost touch with them.

Do you think you might just buy a Linkys router and get Wifi at home? Linksys g-band router takes 10 mins to set up :)

Very nice to see you in TOE! :)

Hey Candy. We have wi-fi at home. We've got an all-Mac house now, and are well served by Apple Express wireless units.

I have no wi-fi access at work though, hence the trip down the road from work to use theirs. I wouldn't eat there even if it was the only place open and I was starving, but the coffee at their McCafe's is quite reasonable. The reason I don't play over 3G on my iPhone is that we have miserable data caps here in Oz. Only have 100Mb per month. When everything is cached on the iPhone and it's only downloading text, I might be able to play over 3G then....

Good to hear you don't eat the food. I've heard about the Internet problem down in Australia, such a shame. Someone needs to break up that monopoly down there, all those limitations are horrible.
