Hi everyone
This thread is for posting one's literature for constructive criticism and for others to leave their opinions.
I'll just open with these lyrics I wrote when I was in a whimsical mood hiking and it was hella windy.
Chords upon request.
V1:
When I find myself in times of doubt,
and the darkness shuts me out,
there's a voice from the night always guiding me through,
"you may be down, but you're not out.
"you're down, but you're not out."
V2:
When I find myself in times of pain,
and the tears just fall like rain,
there's a voice from the night, always guiding me through
"through the pain, you shall remain.
"like the Earth, you shall remain."
CHORUS:
And although we may try, we must watch life go by
The world is our stage, the time this day and age,
And as you may hear the wind blow, the wind sight...
"We must watch this life go by.
"We shall watch this life pass us by."
V3:
When I find myself in times of rage,
and my conscience is a cage,
there's a voice on the wind always guiding me through,
"your passion shall be remade.
"By your passion shall you be remade."
V4:
When the darkness is closing in,
and my breaths all seem like sins,
the reaper appears and it says to me:
"Let your life just leave with the wind.
"Come to me, ride the wind."
[CHORUS]
Now I've watched the years pass me by,
and I've torn away the veil of these lies,
I tossed it to the wind as it came rushing by.
Can you faintly hear it sigh...?
"We have watched this life pass us by.”
