I've emailed three or four times now about getting my character transferred to my new (well now pretty old!) iPhone, but I've never had a response. Is the support email address on his site still current?

Thanks - that is the one I've been trying. Not had a response in months.

Do you know if anyone else has managed to transfer accounts recently? I see that the app is still being updated, so Nils is presumably still around somewhere.
